João is based in Portugal and is helping SLM Partners develop new investment opportunities in sustainable permanent crops in Portugal and Spain.

João is a qualified agronomist with a track record experience in project farm management, investment planning and operations management, particularly in permanent crops and fruit production, with a strong focus on sustainable practices.

Before joining SLM Partners, João was Operations and Sales Manager of Fruits of Life Lda, where he was responsible for establishing and managing more than 150 hectares of walnut and almond orchards in Portugal and Spain. Before that he was a co-founder and partner at Fineberries and Hiberries companies, Portuguese businesses that grew and marketed blueberries for export to EU markets. In both projects, he implemented Global G.A.P. Certification, which is nowadays the world's leading farm assurance program. He began his career in golf course constructions and maintenance.

João is a Board member of Portugal Nuts - APFS, an association focused on the development of the nuts sector in Portugal, and is the leader of a focus group within the association working on pest management good practices.

João Roseiro has a degree in Agronomy from the Agronomy University of Lisbon. He gained a Post-graduate degree in Management & Business Consulting and attended a Sustainable Finance Executive Program at Nova School of Business and Economics.
